Since becoming a mum to Sophia and then to Archie my style and dress sense has seriously rocketed (down hill that is). I honestly struggle with my style sometimes and that is no secret. Gone are those days of glamour for me with two young children ( Although I would have never classed myself as glamorous) I have always being safe with my clothes. I have always picked comfort and casual over high fashion and glamour. But even more so since becoming a mum I think I take comfort to a whole new level. Pj day anyone!?
Right now everything is about practicality and feeling comfortable while running around the children especially those early morning school runs. Although as they are getting a little older I feel I have a little leeway to make more of a conscious effort to choose better more stylish clothing. Although I will admit I am always worried about it getting ruined with grubby fingers, and my favourite colour to wear is white. Great combo huh, dirt and white!?
As I am trying to be better and take a step into the realms of fashion I was really pleased to receive some shirts to style from JD Williams. Having a browse on their website I saw lots of items that I immediately liked. They have some really lovely maxi dresses in for the summer too.
I decided to go with shirts as I live in jeans on cooler days and find they are so comfy. I am such a jeans girl. I love how they can be dressed up or look really casual.
I am wearing the long-necked check shirt here which I really like as I can wear it on the school run or during the day for work and errands. It is really comfortable and feels lovely on. The material is really soft and I love that it is long too.
I am wearing the blue oversized shirt here which also comes in grey. I really love this because I think it looks quite sophisticated but also quite causal being a long shirt. Again this is really comfortable and it looks really good with some black jeans, you look great with minimal effort at all. I love that.
I am wearing the lace trim blouse here. I absolutely adore this blouse. I loved it as soon as I saw it. I love the detailing on the sleeves. Some of the reviews were quite negative on this blouse. But I honestly have to disagree. Yes you need to be a bit more gentle with this blouse especially when hanging it up as it is delicate, but I have worn it and not had any problems. I really like it.
I really enjoyed playing around with my sytle on this post. I am trying to make some changes to my wardrobe and be a bit more fashion savvy. So we will see how I go from here.
I am really happy with the items from JD Williams and will definitely be shopping here again.
