{The Ordinary Moments 15} #14 Our Easter Hunt

easter cornflake cakes

Today was Easter and what a lovely day it was indeed! We had an Easter Egg Hunt, a lovely family walk, lovely weather, a roast, and lots of cake.

We woke this morning at the usual 7am, and got ready and dressed for the day. Daniel started started the lamb roast, and I prepared all the bits for the Easter Hunt.

My mum arrived at 9am to help finish icing all the cupcakes, as last night we ran out of icing! Daniel and I used this opportunity to go outside and set out the Egg Hunt while mum watched the children inside. Once this was done we set out all the cakes and party food, and cleaned the kitchen ready for the family to arrive.

As soon as Sophia and Archie’s cousin arrived we eagerly started the Easter Hunt, something I had been so excited for all weekend! The children were very happy and enjoyed every moment of it. They had a lovely time opening their Egg Hunt finds indoors.

We then went for a family walk to our local park, which is really a great place, full of trees, open wide space and lots of fun equipment in the park.

I caught some great photos of the children. Right after this photo of Archie I decided to jump onto a swing, that you hold onto and dangle from with my brother in law and husband, and I fell of and I have really damaged my foot! So much so I spent Easter Sunday at A&E getting an X-ray. luckily nothing is broken, and I have just torn the ligaments in my foot, which is still so painful. I have been given crutches and I just hope this foot of mine heals as soon as possible because we are off on holiday in less than 3 weeks, and Dan is self employed, which means he can’t have too much time off. So other than my silly fall today we had the most wonderful day with our family. I enjoyed every moment, even if I did end up on crutches by the end of the day!

Hope you all had a fantastic Easter!
