The first 14 weeks of pregnancy

pregnancy I always thought if I were to ever be pregnant again I would be religious in documenting every week of my pregnancy here on my blog. Well, it turns out time is not on my side at the moment. Working a few different jobs and being pregnant and having two kids already means I’m spreading myself thin at the moment. Plus there is Love Island on in the evenings! (Terrible excuse I know) but are you watching it too? I think once it finishes I will be much more productive with my time come the evening time.

I’m happy non the less and here I am with my first pregnancy update of the last 14 weeks.

I can’t believe how quickly these weeks are flying by it honestly feels like I’m going on fast forward at the moment. It really becomes apparent how much time I really had on my hands with my first pregnancy. Or does life just go faster the older you get? Either way its a little terrifying.

I found out I was pregnant roughly when I was 3 weeks and 6 days. It was on the 11th of April 2017. I won’t forget the day. I took the test late evening a day before my period just on the off chance really. And hey what do you know I was pregnant. At around the 6 weeks mark I started feeling really nauseated and started getting sick. This lasted until I was 10 weeks exactly really and I started feeling much better, I was still a tiny bit nauseated now and then but nothing too bad at all.

pregnancy update

Between 10-14 weeks pregnant I have felt quite simply really really good. I honestly feel great really as far as pregnancies go for me. I hope it carries on like this till the very end. I would really love that.

I still have not felt baby move at all. Which is really strange for me because I felt Archie move at around 9 weeks a little flutter and felt him on and off from then on. He must have been in a really good position. Sophia on the the other hand, my first I felt at around 19 weeks I think, I can’t remember exactly but it will be in her baby book.

I feel a little apprehensive as to why I haven’t felt this little one move at all. But I looked online as you do and found a few articles on anterior placenta which makes quite a lot of scenes to me. But I will only find out at the 20 week scan if that is what I have.

The first 12 weeks I felt really tired. I really had forgotten how much energy you do loose during your first trimester. I wasn’t able to keep up with the house and needed a nap every so often, or I would genuinely just fall asleep on the sofa not being able to keep my eyes open. I was really lucky actually that the timing was great with Daniel’s work and he was able to help me out quite a lot with school drop offs etc. So that was really nice. Because I genuinely don’t know how I would have survived without him in those first few weeks.

Other then the sickness, and tiredness at the beginning everything has gone really really well.

I will try to keep up with my updates. Because I feel awful but I still haven’t brought a baby book for this baby which I really would like to get as I have one for both Sophia and Archie. I have to be honest I have found it hard to find one. I think I will have to have a look online as not many shops stock them where I live.

I have also filmed a few updates of my pregnancy so far on YouTube too. I have done a 5, 9, and 13 week update. I hope to carry on and do an update every week from now on:

Didn’t even realise you were pregnant I am so behind on keeping up with reading blogs at the moment. Not enough hours in the day. So a massive congratulations!!!!! 🙂
I was the same I thought I would document weekly but I’ve done first trimester, working on my second and then might become more frequent. I just haven’t had much to say!
Glad everything is going well 🙂 Look forward to seeing more updates! x

You have such a lovely bump already. I am done having children now, but I always wish I could have documented my first two pregnancies and had a blog back then.

This is so exciting! I’m glad things are going well for you, I’m still suffering a little sickness and tiredness now at 22 weeks but I’m sure (well I hope!) it improves. Also, I didn’t feel this baby move until 17 weeks and now I can feel her most days so I’m sure it won’t be long for you! x
