Another week and I am late again joining in with Donna’s Linky. But I want to make sure I capture each week as best I can and honestly life been crazy busy for us recently. We love it and we are all enjoying this pace so much at the moment, we are having the best time.
The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.
This week just was actually a lot slower, which we all needed after a very busy few days. After our day in Snowdonia I mentioned my mum stayed on and spent two days with us which was so lovely to have her come and stay. It had been a long time since we spent any time together. We took the days pretty slow as the children needed it. Mum then treated us to a lovely meal at Prezzo on her last day and gave the children each some spending money as a little summer treat. I didn’t include the picture I took of mum and the children in my last post so wanted to include it here. The kids really enjoyed seeing their granny Debbie and so did I, especially as Dan was working away that week it was nice to have mum for two days while he was gone.
We also then did some tie dying, which is such a lovely summer activity and the children all had the best time and absolutely loved it and are constantly wanting wear their tie dye tops everywhere. They get such lovely comments wherever we go. I wrapped them all in a big black bag each and gloves and they each had a black tray on the table to do their tops. The tie dye came up so well its so bright and colourful. It was just a little kit from Aldi and I bought the white tops from amazon. Archie was at football club when I took these photos of Arthur and Sophia so a shame he is not in them. Archie also tie dyed his rugby shorts, which came out so cool, in all different blue’s.
The following day we meet up with their cousin and went for a lovely canal walk which we all loved. She took us for a walk in the woods as well and it was completely covered in so many trees, it was so beautiful. After a long and lovely week we were so happy to have Dan come home on the weekend.
We also had a lovely chill day at home which we all needed, the boys love my camera and Archie took a photo of me and Arthur so of course Arthur had to have a turn too. Arthurs photo he took of Archie and I is a little blurry but still a lovely memory. I always wonder if my children will share my love of capturing life and taking photos, who knows.
All in all we had a really lovely week we are having the best time together and enjoyed the slower pace a lot. The sun shone for a lot of the week too. Another really lovely week of summer spent with three of my favourite humans in the world.
