What to pack in your hospital bag?

In the last few weeks of my pregnancy I lived in my leggings and a selection of maternity tops I had picked up from New Look fashion. Its just what I felt most comfiest in. My hips had got so big obviously nothing fitted me at all.

I think packing your hospital bag is very personal to you and everyone will pack it differently. I was induced this pregnancy so really I could of done with a few more treats and a book! But not knowing much about the process and how lengthy it could be I just went on what I knew from the two previous natural births I have had.

Here is a list of the things I packed for myself:

hospital bag

1.Maternity pads | 2.Disposable underwear and normal underwear to wear home | 3.Comfy clothes to come home in | 4.Non scented deodorant | 5.Socks | 6.Pj’s | 7.Toiletries | 8.Essential oil | 9.Diffuser  Headphones to listen to my hypno-birthing |10.Almond oil | 11.Pillows one for me and one for Daniel | 12.Sweets | 13.Energy Drink | 14.Video camera charged and ready with SD card in it | 15.DSLR | 16.Phone Charger

The only thing I didn’t use on that list was my DSLR Camera. I was sent home three hours after I had my baby so I had no time to use it. Like I said as I was induced I could have done with more snacks and a book. I also should have packed more clothes. Daniel did have to go home and get me some more as I didn’t pack enough only enough for two days really and I was in for four days in total.

I also recorded a video of all the things I packed which is up on my youtube channel I will link the vlog here:

What a well organised hospital bag you have. Sweets are always a must!

This sounds a great list! I’ve ended up staying in the hospital for nearly a week with both of mines – and daddy had to keep bringing stuff in!
