Sometimes the simplest things in life are the most valuable, poignant and memorable. Holding a place not only in our minds, but deeply seated and written upon our hearts.
I took my little ones to the park this afternoon, to enjoy the sunshine, as it had been raining all day. How blessed we are, here in England, to experience two seasons worth of weather in one day; rain, clouds, sunshine, and howling wind. The rays really finished the day off perfectly.
As we took our steps to the park, I really soaked in the surroundings, the trees, the birds, flowers, the lady who kindly stopped with her two dogs to let the children stroke them, the houses we passed, the letterbox, and the primary school. All the while cars drove passed, and I noticed one man in particular, and his face as stern as anything, and in that moment I realised that right now walking with my children I was the happiest I could ever have been. Carrying my son on my chest in his Tula, holding my daughters hands, all of us in good health, all well fed, and all three of us completely free to the world! The most simple yet much needed walk, reminded me just how free we really are in this world, it is up to us to see this. What a beautiful and ever expanding perspective it is, to be able to see that each day is a new opportunity, a new beginning to start writing your story, creating your adventures and playing with your imagination. To me this life, and all it has to offer us is inspiring, and truly endless.
