Today was a really special day; we spent some quality time together. Time just the four of us, time we cherish. These moments together are not as much as I would like, and I really appreciate them, so very much. I took so many beautiful pictures, I don’t know how I am going to narrow them down for this post!
You know as you look through past pictures, you can really feel the emotions of that moment; it not only brings back memories, but also feelings. Not just any feelings, usually ones that were inherent in that moment, that were so powerful they burst out of the picture, and hit you right in the heart.
Well, some hit me right in the heart, ones where I saw my husband warmly hold our children, smiling, and laughing, many pictures I captured show the love just pour out of him, right from the depths of his heart. I often ask myself, is it possible to have such a good man, a loving, caring father, who takes pride and enjoys every moment with his children? It is so lovely to watch. I could watch them play together for hours.
It’s not one sided, the love works both ways, as they ran around together, this way and that, Sophia laughing, Archie chasing, and Daniel catching, the love bounced to and from each of them. They ccouldn’tget enough of each other’s company. It dawned on me how much they truly adore each other.
We really have found utter peace as a family. As parents, we enjoy everything, we try everything, and most of all we give it everything we have. I think this is what makes parenthood so amazing; you have a choice, to go for it and give it your all, or not.
One thing I am enjoying so much as a parent, is capturing the memories, writing them down, taking so many pictures, I never have any space on my memory cards, and soaking up each and every single thing I can right here and right now, because seriously how beautiful is the view!
So, I took my pictures, I laughed, I encouraged, I wished, I thanked and I nearly cried, because in this ordinary moment, I took appreciation for these three beautiful souls in my life. Right now is perfect and right now I am so very thankful for.
We also had breakfast at the most loveliest cafe. Quaint, welcoming, and just as good as home, all food served was either locally sourced, or grown on site.
I am taking part in Mummy Daddy Me, The Ordinary Moments.
