Room Review

As you probably know from all my photos on Instagram and Facebook, we stayed in the eloquent Spa Hotel in the lovely Tunbridge Wells this weekend. It has been booked in for some time so my husband Daniel and I have been looking forward to it.

We love organising ‘date nights’ together and having time just the two of us, but it doesn’t always happen as we have a family to look after and sometimes work gets in the way too. We always say we will go for a date a month at least but lets be honest, that is not always possible and life usually takes over. With our stay at The Spa Hotel booked in it felt like something to look forward to. We couldn’t wait to enjoy a quiet dinner, some much needed relaxation and an afternoon stroll. We love food and we love the outdoors so both sounded good to us.

When we arrived at the hotel we were not sure what to expect at all because we had never been before. But as soon as we entered the hotel grounds and walked into reception we were really impressed. The hotel’s interior design and furniture is of a very high standard and the hotel itself had a wonderful atmosphere.room review  We stayed in room 110 on the 1st floor, and we were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and the size. The room was beautiful. It was spacious and had a huge four poster bed which was in the middle of the room. The bed wasn’t only pleasing on the eye but gave us a really comfortable nights sleep too. Everything from the curtains to the armchairs were all vintage looking, living in a home with a more modern feel meant it was such a lovely change to be around all the beautiful and decadent furniture along with a huge bath tub, that was a treat.room review

room review The pillows where so comfy. There were two extra pillows located with our gowns, which I thought was a great touch not that I use an extra pillow, but my husband does and it was nice we didn’t have to ask.

The room had everything we needed from a beautiful en suite bathroom, which had a large bath and power shower. We were supplied with gowns and towels. There was a safe located in the room closet, where there were also hangers and plenty of room to keep our bags and clothes.

The hotel also has wifi, which is free for all guests. I was really impressed with this.

There was room service and a menu for the hotels Zagatos Bar. This was nice as we were able to look at the menu upstairs and decide what we wanted or order to our room if preferred.

The view from our room was beautiful, not only did it bring in all the wonderful sunlight but we enjoyed looking out onto the hotel grounds too.

I am actually preparing another post of our entire stay at The Spa Hotel and what we got up to, which will be up on the blog soon.

I put together a visual tour of the room here if you would like to have a look:

*We received a complimentary night stay at The Spa Hotel in exchange for this review. All thoughts and opinion are 100% honest and my own.

This looks lush Tanita! It is so important to make some time out just for you and your partner isn’t it – but like you say, how often do we actually manage it! Life is so busy. I love your blog and channel, it’s so cute x

Oh, that looks so lovely. I adore the four poster bed. It looks luxurious and very romantic. We used to be much better at going out for date nights and even managed the odd night away. But as you say life gets in the way. This has reminded me that we need to book another date night into the diary. I am so glad that you had a wonderful few nights away. Hugs Lucy xxxx
