We were lucky enough to be invited to Kiddicare’s New Mum Fitness PR event in London last week, it was so much fun.
After having your beautiful baby your body changes in ways you never expected. You change as well. As a result of childbirth and holding your tiny new bundle in your arms you are given a whole new lease of life but without the time.
If you enjoy working out and keeping active it is more important than ever to have a fitness routine that works for you and baby. I have to say that I enjoy keeping active so much, whether it is cleaning my floors or taking a brisk walk with Archie in the stroller, it all makes me feel good. My mood is always lifted when I am busy and full of life. Exercise does that, it gives you a little ‘you’ time as well as adding to your mood releasing all those happy endorphins and giving you the extra boost to start your day, or even end your day.
It is paramount to find a fitness routine that is super quick and enjoyable. A routine that can be done while your new baby naps or even watches. This is where Kimberly Wyatt and #mumonamission come in.
At the event we were taken through our paces and introduced to a routine. It was easy to grasp and a high enough intensity to know you are having a really good workout.
I enjoyed the workout so much, I think it is great and so very achievable for new mums like myself. The routine is 24 minutes long which means you are spoilt for choice and can most definitely fit this into your daily schedule with your little one. This is something I love most about it, is that it doesn’t take long and you feel it, your heart rate increases and you feel it in your legs.
It was lovely to meet Kimberly herself she is a warm and welcoming person and she was so very good at cheering us all on during the routine. She really is an inspirational mum giving other mums a workout routine to benfit from too. Thank you so much to Kiddicare for hosting such a fantastic event and to Sports shoes for the fantastic sports wear to inspire me and get me working out more. Thank you to all the specialists at the event who hosted a fantastic Q&A about #newmumfitness and #mumonamission.
You can find Kimberly & Glen’s workout routine on Instructor Live which you can even load on your tablet. Kimberly set up #mumonamission to help inspire herself while looking after her little girl. You can view Kimberly’s interview with Kiddicare if you would like.
You can also take this short survey by Kiddicare to have your say about New Mum Fitness. Kiddicare would love your feedback and input.
As a busy mum do you find the time to exercise? If so what do you find helps and what kind of exercises do you do?
This looks like such a great event – it’s great for a company like this to organise good adult events but where kids can come too x

Thanks Donna, it really was loads of fun. It was lovely to be able to take the children especially because no one was able to have them for me so I wouldn’t have been able to go. x
A lovely review of the day; I really want to do the fitness program. I’m so glad we went and it was so lovely to have met you. I definitely needed the reminder about the importance of postpartum exercises.
I’m also glad that children were welcome at the event too. :-).
