As I child I didn’t have the luxury of a cold wintery Christmas. Not until I came to England at ten years old. I was used to a summer Christmas usually spent on the beach probably with a bbq too. In all honesty Christmas didn’t really become special to me until I moved to England.
It really is a little bit of a luxury for me to enjoy what I like to call a ‘real’ Christmas with my children, so I was so excited when Harrods wanted to send us the 2017 Bertie the Christmas Bear. I knew the children would love him, especially Sophia as she adores soft toys and teddies, she always has.
I must admit I was a little excited too, the prospect of getting christmassy in our house this early is very exciting.
Im feeling even more excited by Christmas this year because we welcome our third little baby and it really is going to make our Christmas extra special.
One thing I love doing most during the colder months is getting Sophia and Archie ready for bed in the evenings, I love giving them a warm bubble bath. The smell of my squeaky clean children in their matching pj’s makes me melt a little. There is nothing that makes me more happy then getting them cosy and ready for the evening ahead.
I’m lucky they both love to wear the same pj’s and actually they get so excited when I have bought them a matching pair. Which I think is so sweet. I don’t do it often so when I do I think it is extra special for them.
Bertie the Christmas Bear has certainly spread the Christmas cheer in our house Sophia can’t get enough of his cuddles. She really loves him. So he will now be out with us until Christmas comes getting us all in the festive spirit, which is always lots of fun.Bertie the Christmas Bear comes with the cutest little tartan-sleeve jacket and he is as soft as he looks.
He will be treasured by us forever and we will get him out every year to enjoy and get the children ready for Christmas. I love making little family traditions with them. It really means a lot to me. Seeing the children happy and excited is so lovely.
You can get your own Bertie the Christmas Bear here if you would like, he really is very special.
