As a child I absolutely loved being outside whether we were playing imaginative play or playing garden games I always had so much fun. I want to instil the same love for the outdoors in my children and as much as possible they play outside. Especially now that the weather is warmer they are always outside. Although, come rain or shine they will still venture out, the weather never stops them.
I am so pleased to be working in collaboration with Wayfair on the garden games campaign they are running. They have asked me to share five of our favourite garden games with you. Putting this post together has really made me so excited for summer. We have had such lovely weather this last week, I hope it continues because you never know in England. One day it may be hot and the other it could be raining.
There are some fantastic garden games on Wayfair’s website and I am going to share five that I think are absolutely fabulous for this summer and to get us all outside as much as possible, whether as a family or leaving the children to their own devices. Both are equally just as good as the other.
- Sack Racing Game | 2. Parachute Game | 3. Hoppin Mad Space Hoppers | 4. Aztec Wigwam Play Tent | 5. Square sandbox with cover
This game is so much fun and it reminds me of sports day when I was a little girl. We would always play the sack racing game along with the egg and spoon race. It always ends with someone falling over and everyone laughing as they try to win the race.
My children really love this game, we used to play it in one of the clubs they attended. This is a firm favourite with so many children especially running under while the adult’s throw it up and down.
This is lots of fun and the children can definitely be left to play this on the own hopping all over the garden. Lots of exercise for them too and getting rid of all that energy they have.
Sophia and Archie adore playing in tents. They love having their own little hideout to take toys to and to sit and play on their own. I think this tent is beautiful and something they would both love this summer.
We actually had this sand pit last few years and we do need to invest in a new one for this summer. Sophia and Archie both absolutely love sandpits it keeps them entertained for hours.
I hope you enjoyed finding out our five favourite garden games for this summer. I would love to know what yours would be or if you already have any garden games for the children you will be getting out for this summer?
