A little tea party with Lucy Locket

lucky locket

It’s been a really lovely and ordinary half term for us. The weather has been brilliant which has allowed us to do whatever we liked. We spent time at home, with friends and out and it’s been a really varied and fun week for us.

I miss Sophia so much when she is at school and it becomes more apparent when she is home how much I have missed her and how I enjoy having her with us everyday. It is so nice to catch up with my big girl and chat to her. She is always so eager to talk to me and tell me all about her friends at school. I am always the willing listener. I want her to always be able to talk to me about anything she would like. She is just growing up too fast. Don’t you find that sometimes you look at your children and think wow how are they this age already? How?

It really gets to me sometimes this whole ageing and growing old. You know when you just want to bottle up a moment and live like that forever. Right now I would love to do that with both. I am enjoying this time with Sophia and Archie so much. They really are lovely to be around and most of the time make parenting really easy for me.

We decided one sunny day of the half term that we would set up a little tea party. They both picked their most favourite teddies and brought them outside with a little picnic blanket. It actually reminded me so much of when I was a child, mum always set up tea parties for my sister’s and I and it was something I really loved. It’s actually something that my lovely mum now does with my children when they visit.

Every time she has them at her house she will most probably set up a little tea party for them with the little tea set she has brought for them. They are very lucky to have her she is a very hands on granny and they always love going to her house as they can pretty much do what they want and make lots of mess.

It was the perfect opportunity over half term to set up a tea party in the garden. The children absolutely loved the beautiful Lucy Locket wooden Tea Set. Both enjoyed stirring their tea and eating the cake. Sophia has always loved tea sets since she was very small and it was so lovely to do this with both of them. It was so sweet to see Archie enjoying playing with the tea set too. I love that they are both able to play so nicely together and the tea set is great for imaginary play.

The tea set from the Lucy Locket website is such lovely quality and very eye catching and bright. It did grab Archie and Sophia attention straight away and they commented on the lovely designs on the tea pot and cups. Sophia especially loved the ladybird on one of the cups.

I especially love the tea set because it encourages imaginary play something both my children really enjoy. The flower shape carrying tray means that the tea set can be kept neatly on a shelf and carried around by the children too which I really like.

We would like to say thank you so much to the team at Lucy Locket for sending us this beautiful tea set the children will have many hours of fun with it. They both love it.

That tea set is so cute! I know what you mean about missing them when they are at school – I have loved having mine at home over half term.

I love having a picnic with my kiddos. It is one of the things that they will do together even though they are quite different ages. This looks like a really cute tea set that will be played with a lot. I especially love the little cakes.
