Oh little boy of mine. How are we here already? How is it that three years of your life with us has passed by already. It feels like just the other day that you whooshed out from inside me and you took your first breathe. For a moment we thought we had lost you and in that moment I learnt to never take one second for granted. Each day with you is a miracle and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and in every sense. You gave us all such a shock when you entered the world, and our lives have never been the same.
Thank you for being here with us. You make the load lighter, a dull day is always brightened with your laughter and cute little dimple. I love your dimple. Every time you smile at me I see it and it melts my heart.
We are very lucky to spend our days together and you go to a lovely preschool for a few mornings a week and it suits us both well.
You have grown up so much, passers by in restaurants and supermarkets comment on how well you speak and how tall and how big you are which makes you grin from ear to ear (you even puff your little chest out too and walk a little taller, I cant help but notice your little tubby belly poking out too… which I love. I could kiss it all day). You even have such a sense of pride when you big sister tells you that you have a big mouth just like her. ( usually compared when trying to get the both of you to eat your dinner) and always makes your dad and I laugh so much. Both of you have big mouths I promise.
Today marks the day I was made a mum to a boy. Without gender stereotyping I can’t help but see you as such a little lad. If you were to explain to anyone your personality I would say.. You are boisterous, wild, and untameable. You keep me on my toes, you are super confident and you like to lead, although you are also very able to follower especially when it comes to your older sister being in charge (which she is most of the time).
You can also be quiet in the right environment, usually sat on the sofa snuggled up with us watching films. You love nothing more then being at home. Your favourite part of your day at the moment would have to be coming home after preschool, you do get quite upset if we have to go out and run errands. It usually results in you crying so we try to avoid going out after preschool at the moment.
You have the sweetest and very serious obsession with tools, hammer and saw in particular. You love imagining you are a builder. You come to my house and you fix it for me and sometimes you do it for £2 which I think Is such a bargain especially for a wonderful builder like yourself! You are our crazy and wonderful little man who we all love so much.
You completed our family and although it can get a little hectic at times it keeps our household young and we wouldn’t change a single thing. Happy Birthday to the best boy we know.
