{The Ordinary Moments 15} #17 Summer Days

ordinary moments 4

This week just gone has been full of sunshine and it has been so wonderful to sit out in out garden and let my two little ones run around and explore.

I recently bought them this sandpit from Lidl’s, which is perfect, especially the price and the practicality. I love that it has a cover, which can be used for both covering the sandpit and as a sunshade for the children as they play.

Sophia and Archie spend hours playing in the sandpit and it really is money well spent. I think they will get lots of use out of it over the summer.

When they play in the garden together most of the time Archie toddles after Sophia, she always takes charge and claims the toy she wants first, poor Archie always has to wait his turn, but they always figure it out, and most of the time I don’t have to intervene and Sophia explains to him if he waits just another minute or two he can have a turn. Sometimes he does a little penguin dance and stamps his feet impatiently, and other times he runs crying in a big sulk. He is so cute, and I can’t believe this month he will be 17 months old.

As I sat watching the two of them Sophia feeling important on her bike and Archie her little shadow, standing right next to her, wanting a turn, I was reminded how lucky I am and how lucky they both are to have each other.

To grow together and enjoy each other is one of life’s many treasures. And I hope that in these ordinary moments together they create the best memories.

I know I sure wont forget these moments.
