My little heart-breaker turns 1!

bday8 So today was a milestone in the life of my little boy and an emotional day for me too for that matter. (He turned 1 years old on the 30th of November 2014.)

Here are some pictures of his blue birthday set up. There is something so fun about doing a blue party, having done Sophia’s pink birthday parties for the last four years I really enjoyed buying only blue. We had a fab afternoon with just our family and he was so spoilt. He is a much loved little boy and very lucky indeed.

I sit here and think about him my little man in the making. I cannot believe I have had this perfect little soul in my life for a year now. Watching him grow and holding him, getting his cuddles, looking into his deep brown eyes when I am breastfeeding him and holding his hand while he learnt to take his first steps, has being the most incredible journey so far.

He is such a gentle little boy, so soft touching and just so caring. It’s something my mum has noticed as well she always comments to me how gentle he is. I love this about him there is something beautiful getting to raise a little boy with a caring touch and a gentle heart. He is going to make his mum one proud lady when he has his own family and wife to look after. I am proud of him right now just for sleeping in his crib, just for growing so, and as he is. There is just something so magical about watching your children grow into their own person. These little people, both my son and daughter, are a miracle and I am so privileged I have had the chance to raise such amazing little ones. I’m so lucky. I stuck gold and I really try and cherish this.

I really try to soak up each moment with my kids, so every day I spend with them is no exception.

Aside from Archie’s beautiful cuddles he loves to be held… All day and every moment is an opportunity for him to be picked up and kept close. As a family we laugh together that he is going to be a chef because whoever is in the kitchen has to hold him. And he is absolutely attached to wooden spoons!

He slept at his granny’s house for the first time last night and he did not put that wooden spoon down I tell you.

He is such a little cutie and I love his weird and wonderful ways. I can’t wait to tell him about his love for wooden spoons when he is older, my little prince. I am so proud of you each and every moment … Always.

Your mummy.
