Earlier this week my lovely sister picked the kids up at 10 am and took them to soft play and for lunch at Pizza Express which is one of my children’s favourite places to eat.
I had some much needed me time. I went and had my nails done, something I haven’t done for roughly just over a year. Since buying my shellac kit I have done them myself. So it was a nice treat to sit for an hour and have someone do them for me.
I came home and edited some pictures for one of my blog posts of the kids new bunk beds and made myself some lunch. I then sat in bed and read my book for about an hour which I could have cried about because I haven’t done that in a long, long time.
Thanks to my lovely little sister for having the kids for a few hours for me. They both came home absolutely exhausted and Sophia couldn’t stop talking about her day with her aunty.
Sophia really looks up to her. I don’t think my sister knows how important her role as aunty is. Because even when Sophia was talking about her she adopted all my sister’s mannerisms and the way she talks and purses her lips. It was really sweet.
I had to hold my cheeks together to stop myself giggling at her cute little ways.
My little girl is growing up.
My children are lucky to have an aunty who adores them, I need to take her up on her offers to have them more often! Because it really was a nice end to our busy week.
