{The Ordinary Moments 15} #3 Home Is Where The Heart Is

home is where the heart is is

This is our second Sunday at home this month, Sophia is enjoying been at home, I think this has a lot to do with the cold and dull weather outside. She loves the warmth, the cosy-ness, drinking tea and eating biscuits. That is one thing the winter sure is good for!

We did have a couple of errands today which we did before lunch, we went food shopping, and came home in time for Daniel to watch his football.  For half of the match I managed to keep the kids occupied, and I got some lovely pictures.

I couldn’t resist, Archie was enjoying playing with Sophia’s baby Annabelle so much, kissing her and putting her in the pram. It was so cute.

Sophia did her usual thing, filling up her bags with little bits and bobs she could find in her room. She has loved doing this since she was much younger, about 18 months if I remember rightly.

The other half of the football match, they wouldn’t leave their dad alone, jumping all over him, giggling and laughing.

Currently Archie is asleep in his crib, it is 17:45! Very early for him but he only had a 30 min nap today so he was very tired. Sophia is busy helping her granny make cupcakes for us all, Daniel is asleep on the sofa, snoring, with the football playing on the ipad.

We had my mum and sister over for homemade butternut squash soup tonight, it was delicious, and probably the easiest dish to make. Not much effort, but a lovely healthy meal.

Today has been full of family time, it has been lovely.  I am absolutely shattered now, so I am going to go and enjoy my cupcake and hopefully watch a nice film, when Sophia has gone to bed.

Hope you all had a lovely Sunday too.

Such gorgeous photos of a lazy day at home. You writing about your little girl’s obsession with ‘bits and bobs’ made me laugh because my eldest Mads is exactly the same. She loves to collect ‘treasures’ and i find them under her pillow, in different bags and in her pockets! x

    They are so cute!
Mine loves cup of teas (Hot Milk) at the moment in the cold weather, but what can I say mine is a boy and still loves the outside. He even played in the water at the beach yesterday, I cringed at the thought of touching the water.
