Kitchen Inspiration

We are finally starting to re-design and decorate our kitchen. I have been looking at Pinterest a lot lately to get some kitchen inspiration. I found some perfect pictures of the style we would like to go for.

2d960a834c4eeb6080ab7bae5ac71739I love the all white and wooden look for a kitchen and think it will look really fresh and modern. I really cant wait to start cooking in there, as our old kitchen had no counter space at all really, the boiler was on show, and as it is an old style house all the radiator pipes around the room were on show too.

My husband has now plaster boarded out the whole room. Which he has done over the weekend just gone and every night this week after work. He is exhausted! Of course whenever you start a home project you don’t realise how much work really goes into it. You know its a lot but when you get started there is always extra bits to do.

So we are living in quite a bit of chaos at the moment. Which I knew was inevitable and I was happy to do so as I was so eager to get a decent kitchen fitted. I have taken some footage which I will show you once the whole kitchen is complete which will be about four weeks from now I assume. The kitchen units only arrive in the next 21 days and we still need to purchase all the appliances and plaster the whole room, ceiling too.

I have been looking at Currys as I want to get a dishwasher. I have never had one, and I thought as we are redesigning the whole kitchen I might as well add one. I am really excited about this actually! I am looking at the Kenwood one at Currys as it has a saving of £80 at the moment.

One thing I am a little obsessed with is a ceramic sink and I have found one of Wayfair that will look perfect in the new kitchen.

I cant wait to show the final kitchen, although it is going to take a while I know it will be worth it in the end. If you are also redecorating or thinking of doing so you can find some really great inspiration over on Pinterest.

The second one was my favorite! It looks exactly how I would love to have a kitchen!
For me, the kitchen is super important because you spend so much time in it when you’re cooking that you have to feel good in it and love the environment around you!

Oh I love all of these, there’s something about having pure natural colours in a kitchen, although I think the white would show up every piece of muck, Id just have to clean it more and not be so lazy haha. Once we own our own house, I would love to do something like the first one 🙂 x

I love the minimalist decor. I think that white decor is perfect for fall when the weather is getting colder you can simply slink into an airy open space.

I love the combination of the white and the pale wood. That’s so great that you are able to do a lot yourself, although I can imagine how much effort it takes – I am really not good at DIY!

I love these kitchens, especially the middle one, really like the look of that white floor. I live in rented accommodation, but hopefully one day will own a house and can have a kitchen that I love. I hope you share your new kitchen, will be lovely to see! x

Sometimes I wish our kitchen would be a brighter. There’s a lot of black. The kitchen worktop is black for example and silly me bought a black bread bin, microwave and toaster back in the day. I might have to brighten that up a bit.

Black is still lovely though. It can look quite sophisticated I think it just depends on what look you are going for xx

Love your choices Hun, think the first is my fave! We had our kitchen refitted when lamb was 2 months and it was manic but so worth it. We lived with my in laws for a month! Xx

Oh lucky you moving out for it! Our in laws are also doing their kitchen and no room at my mums so we have to live with it. Only been a week so far and a part from the mess it is not as bad as I thought xx

So white – loads of light. I’d be afraid though that it would look messy as soon as you started adding appliances / cooking / toddlers. We’re trying to do up some of the rooms in my house at the minute and I’m just lost – have no interior flair at all, it really upsets me!

My next door neighbour has a black kitchen and says it’s much harder to keep clean than white because you can see all the finger prints. Fair point as I think white would conceal that well. Oh bless you to be honest Pinterest has given me bounds of inspiration. If in doubt Pinterest it! Good luck with your interior designing x
