Recently close family friends of ours had a beautiful little girl. I love nothing more then shopping for baby’s and putting together something nice for them. I recently made a gender neutral hamper for another friend of mine, so I wanted to do something similar. We knew they were having a girl so I could make a pink hamper, which I was excited about. I bought some bits from Joules to go into the hamper, but I ended up keeping them in a separate bag.
It is actually surprisingly easy to make a hamper from scratch, there are only some essential bits that you need, including a basket which you can pretty much purchase from any home store on your high street, or of course online. Ebay actually does some lovely one’s if you browse on there. You then need some shredded paper which can be purchased from clintons, hobby craft or Ebay again. And some ribbon or something to add a bit of decoration to the basket.
You then need to fill the hamper with lovely little bits for the baby! I think this is the most fun, purchasing all the little bits which will be in the hamper.
Joules have some lovely bits in stock at the moment, the new collection is just beautiful! I did a post on an outfit I purchased for Archie from Joules in a previous post. The Johnson’s products can be purchased mostly anywhere, I purchased some bits from Sainsbury’s, but you can get them mostly anywhere which is great. The latch bottles are new from munchkin and look great, especially with the unique accordion teat. The Parragon book is also lovely, and I have one for Archie too, he adores it. It is a great hamper gift, because it is small and great for a wide range of ages too.
Making hamper’s is becoming a little hobby of mine, something I really enjoy! I love hearing of new ideas and other items to include in a hamper. It is a great way to be creative! If you have any ideas to share please do.
