summer bbq

I feel so ready for the summer this year. It seems to be taking longer to come around this year or is that just me? I remember being out in the garden mostly everyday in June last year.

Despite the not so great weather recently I have been enjoying my garden when I can. I have done bits here and there but still have plenty to do. I have cut my grass a bit short recently and now have dark patches here and there. But nothing a little water can’t solve. It is looking better already since taking these photos.

I love nothing more then making it look pretty in our garden. There is quite a lot to do still and I would love to get some flowers to put in pots. I was sent three lovely outdoor pots from Debenhams, they are rather large. Here are a few ideas I have been thinking of. I either want to have only flowers making it nice and bright, or perhaps some small trees to put out in our front garden. I am still undecided. I will be sure to take a photo on Instagram once they are done. I first need to find a spare moment to go to the garden centre.

Last year we spent just about everyday of summer out in our garden and I have so many fond memories. I remember when my dad came home from his holiday to South Africa and spent the day with us. Sophia was at preschool and Mr T at work so it was just me Archie and my dad. Archie played in the paddling pool with his granddad and we soaked up the sun and even had a lovely breakfast in the garden.

Debenhams sent us this amazing bbq, which my husband especially loves. We tried it out this week and it is great. We are so pleased with it.

I love having bbq’s in the summer it reminds me of my childhood. I remember sitting around a fire until late evening. I would watch the flames rise and loved  feeling the heat radiate around me, a strong contrast to the cool evening air. It brings back feelings of security and love all at the same time and when we have our family bbq’s now I am reminded of the many bbq’s we had when I was a child. My dad loves barbequing so at every opportunity he seizes the moment. We had bbq’s on the beach in South Africa, here in England in the rain, so nothing stops him!

There is nothing better then treating the people you love to delicious food a drink and some meaningful conversation. It is what summer is all about. It is one of the things I enjoy most about it.

We have been needing a new bbq for this summer as our previous one is old and on the small side. So, I was really pleased when Debenhams got in touch.  It is the Landman barbeque, and is pretty amazing and so perfect for the summer and all the bbq’s we plan to host. Mr T also shares the same love as my dad for barbequing so I think we will be having a fair few. Debenhams also have some amazing deals on all of their garden furniture. I have been browsing and have my eye on some lovely bits for our garden.

I hope you are getting as excited as me for summer!?

Ahhhhh i’m the same, i’ve been wondering where the Summer is too! I’m sure we had better weather by now this time last year. I’m just hoping it means when it does arrive it’ll be a good long one!
Gorgeous BBQ, it’s a perfect size to make sure everyone is catered for. Nothing worse than having to cook things at separate times because you need the space!

Yes one thing I love about it is that it is big enough to cater for a lot of people. I am the same hoping the longer we wait the longer the summer will be! Fingers crossed xx

I love the BBQ! It looks very swish. We got a small coal BBQ this year and I love it, food tastes so much better over coals x

That looks like a great BBQ. We’ve been thinking about getting one, but we need to sort the garden out a bit first!

I need to invest in one proper bbq. I always had crappy ones. Well it’s mainly because I never covered them for the winter. I’ll look into that when we moved into our new house

Yes Janine our old one needed replacing as I too left it outside. I need to invest in a bbq cover for this new one. x
