I don’t know about you, but I remember Sesame Street from my childhood. It was one of my favourite programmes. Sesame Street is the multiple award winning series and it is returning to the UK in November 7th at 4pm on the preschool channel Cartoonito.
There will also be some exciting new changes to the street, with new opening and closing songs. There will be fun and familiar preschool relevant themes which will make learning meaningful. It will help children to focus their attention and engage with the storyline. The changes to the street sound great and I think my two little ones will definitely enjoy the new Sesame Street.
We will definitely be watching on Monday 7th November at 4pm. There is something nostalgic and so comforting having my children watch or experience something that I did as a child. To see their little faces and watch them ignites something so familiar in me. Childhood is amazing and so are educational and fun programmes for them. Programmes that are meaningful and help them to focus their attention and learn something new is always great in my eyes.
Sesame Street will also feature an array of dazzling celebrities including Alan Cummig as Mucko Polo the grouch explorer, Ne-Yo singing “You’ve got a Body, So Move It” and Nick Jonas singing “Check That Shape”. How exciting. I cant wait to watch with my two I really think that they will enjoy it so much.
Here are some fun facts to get you excited for the new Series of Sesame street on Cartoonito:
- Did you know that the word ‘Sesame’ is an allusion to the The Arabian Nights, “Open, Sesame!,” which is suggestive of excitement and adventure. Perfect for the setting of Sesame Street and the theme of the show.
- Amazingly Sesame Street has been nominated for a grand total of 268 Emmys, winning 159 and a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award. That is more than any other children’s show!
I am so excited for the first episode of the new series. It will broadcast daily on Cartoonito from Monday the 7th of November at 4pm. I hope you and your little ones enjoy as much as we will.
