As you might already know we have completely stripped our hallway. We haven’t started on it yet as we have to finish the front of the house first. I have an idea of what I would like to do with it, but of course it is putting all my ideas into action. I have been looking on Pinterest for some inspiration, it always helps so much to narrow down my ideas and give me new ones too.
We recently finished with the children’s bedroom which you can have a look at here. It took some months but we got there in the end. The house may look nice in that bedroom but the rest of the house looks a bit like a building site. But that is to be expected. I just look so forward to when everything is done and we can relax and enjoy. I do try and remember the journey is the most exciting part not the end. So yes I am enjoying the creating part, it is fun. I feel so grateful we have the opportunity to make our house our own, we are very lucky indeed.
Here are some hallway interiors that I just love and would like to incorporate in our hallway. I love the white walls and gold frames. I like the minimalist look. I really believe less is more and helps to create a quiet calm and relaxed atmosphere at home. I think it so important. I do get very agitated when the house is a mess and I find it hard to focus. But everything is coming together and I am thankful for that.
We are lucky to be currently working with The Skirting Board Shop on our new project. The products are fantastic. The delivery was fantastic too. I received a phone call to book the delivery in. I was really impressed with their customer service, the delivery man was lovely and very friendly and brought the items into the house for me.
Although there is still some time before we are able to start on the hallway we are looking so forward to getting it done. I cant wait to show you, but it will be a while, I think we will be lucky if it is done by christmas.
I have also been thinking about flooring and I am currently torn between carpet or wooden flooring. We currently have laminate flooring but it gets dirty so quickly I worry if we did go for carpet it would get ruined. However I know carpet is so warm and cosy for the winter. But we still have a way to go before we decide on flooring.

Every time I see a homewear post I get serious house envy and I look at my savings and bat back and forth before deciding to leave the savings exactly where they are! I also wish my hallway wasn’t a tiny square filled with a pram, coats and shoes… as well as currently hospital bags ready to go!
Oh interesting about the flooring decision. We have the original oak floorboards but they’re getting wrecked with the dogs. Our downstairs carpet would definitely get ruined by the dogs if we had one, so I think we’re going to go for laminate downstairs. The photos are fab, I can see why you find them inspirational!

Aw thank you Nat! Aw yes I can imagine with your dogs why you would prefer wooden floor. I do love wooden floor but carpet is just so much cosier for the winter. xx
I just love them white floorboards in the last picture! I could only dream of having them. You’ve picked some lovely designs xx
Thank you Ashleigh. I love dreaming up ideas for around the house. Xx
I think wood flooring makes a lot of sense in a hallways. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out. We don’t even have a hallway so I’m envious already. 😉
Thank you lovely. Our hallway is only very small. So we need to try our best to make the space look bigger then it is. xx
Oooh good taste, they all look lovely! We stripped our hallway floor back to the floorboards (we live in an old Victorian property) and I love it. I’m a huge carpet fan, so didn’t think I would but it was the best decision we made.
That sounds beautiful Steph! Old floorboards give a house so much character xx
Your inspiration is absolutely beautiful. I’m sure no matter what you do it will be lovely. I love your style and have serious kitchen envy from watching your vlogs. I love the white floorboards! x
Love the ideas you picked. We are in the middle of finalising everything with our new built house. Left to do are lights.
Oh my goodness!
Those hallways are to die for <3
If only I could decorate our – I have bookmarked this page for future reference though.

Those hallways are lovely and so bright. I wish I had a long large hallway like that, I could spread out my junk more!!
Hehe! We actually have a small hallway so I really want to utilise the space and make it look as if it is bigger xx
